Steel and blue-grey veins move diagonally through Polar Grace, some thin and sharply drawn, others widening into soft smoky drifts that pool and fade. The white ground behind them stays bright and cool, and the blue cast in the veining is what distinguishes this from the warmer grey-veined whites. Movement is consistent across the slab rather than concentrated in one feature, so it reads evenly at floor scale. Book-matched on a tall wall the diagonals mirror into a symmetrical figure, which is how the render sets it out.
